Chicago's Caribbean Carnival Experience
CHICARNIVAL Weekend “Chicago’s Caribbean Carnival Weekend” is hosted throughout the City of Chicago, and features 7 events over a 4 day weekend (August 13-16, 2026), with representation of the Caribbean carnival community, entertainment, vibes and an authentic display of its cultures. CHICARNIVAL Weekend features some of the biggest name in Soca music and Caribbean entertainment at some of Chicago’s premiere venues. Our lineup includes over 20 artist and entertainers from throughout the Caribbean and the world.
Over the 4 day weekend, we will host 7 unique events including, Soca In The City, The After Shock, and Call To Dutty,
Our Story
What began back in 2016 as an introduction of good quality soca events in Chicago, birth on the energy that one of the founding partners experienced in the launch of The Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival, ChiCarnival was born. With the excitement of a big city, but the personal touch of a well designed operation, its goal was and continue to be, making Chicago a part of the global Carnival conversation.
